The uniform scratch pattern allows for the use of finer grades of abrasives in fewer steps to achieve the final finish
Smaller chips and flexibility of the backing allow the sharp silicon carbide abrasive to cut without fracturing, reducing heat build up and resulting in a product life that is 7 to 15 times as long as traditional coated abrasives
