A seemingly simple part, the 3M Wheel Mandrel enables effective disc to tool attachment for Scotch-Brite Clean and Strip Discs (sold separately). The Scotch-Brite Clean and Strip Discs that this mandrel supports are an extra coarse grade, open-web disc engineered to effectively clean welds, remove rust and strip paint. The open construction and aggressive abrasive properties provide a smooth running wheel that resists loading when removing soft or high loading coatings.

To complete the system, combine the the disc and mandrel with 3M Die Grinders (sold separately). 3M Die Grinders feature 1/4? collets, which provide quick and easy attachment of the mandrel/disc assembly.
