3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive DP420NS is a two-part, toughened epoxy formulated to combine the proven adhesive performance of the DP420 platform with a non-sag solution to provide enhanced application control and stability on vertical and overhead surfaces. Its 2:1 mix ratio formula dispenses as a black, viscous adhesive, providing a 20-minute working time that supports repositioning for accurate component placement during assembly.

3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive DP420NS is engineered to resist impact making it well-suited for structural bonding of metals and composites. Formulated for durability, this epoxy is designed to help maintain bond performance in demanding conditions, including exposure to humidity, temperatures, diesel, gasoline, salt water, and water. Always refer to technical data sheet for details on resistance limitations. It reaches handling strength in approximately 2.5 hours and can also be heated to accelerate cure, providing flexibility for variable curing workflows. Designed to meet UL 94 HB requirements, it helps manufacturers comply with applicable flammable standards. This adhesive can tolerate exposures of up to 392 °F (200 °C) for up to 30 minutes, making it compatible with common paint bake processes. Typical applications include panel bonding, potting, composite assembly, and structural bonding in metalworking, transportation, sporting goods, marine, and general industrial manufacturing. It is available in bulk and in Duo-Pak cartridges in 1.69 fl oz (50 ml), 6.76 fl oz (200 ml), and 14.07 fl oz (400 ml) sizes, compatible with the 3M™ EPX Applicator System for accurate metering, mixing, and dispensing. Backed by decades of 3M adhesive innovation, 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive DP420NS provides a reliable solution for manufacturers seeking bond durability where color restrictions and flammability considerations are priorities.
