3M tape 9772 series provides XYZ-axis based conductivity, with high XY-axis electrical resistance compared to other standard double-sided conductive tapes. The conductive acrylic based adhesive provides high adhesion for a thin double-sided tape. The 3M tape 9772 series also offers excellent conformability, good EMI shielding in the bond line gap and electrical contact to small size areas making it a reliable double-sided tape for challenging EMI design applications.
3M tape 9772 series is typically used when excellent electrical conductivity from the application substrate through the adhesive to a second substrate is required. Common uses include grounding and EMI shielding in equipment, components, etc. Other common uses include EMI shield and gasket attachment, flex circuit to flex circuit interconnection, camera module grounding, Electrostatic discharge (ESD), PCB/Flex/Chassis grounding, sensor and FPC grounding and medium pitch flexible circuits and PCBs.
